01. Overview & The Core Loop
Wild West is a recurring 5-day event built around hunting a special map boss called the Sunset Killer. Defeating Sunset Killers via rallies earns Rix Fragments, which are the only way to recruit the event-exclusive Epic hero Rix. Rix is only available during Wild West runs — he does NOT appear in the Epic or Legendary Recruitment gacha.
🔄 The Core Loop
- Kill any Criminal on the world map during the event → get Spurs (50% drop chance per kill)
- Spend 1 Spur from the event page → spawns a Sunset Killer near your PD
- Spend 25 Energy → initiate a Rally against the Sunset Killer (or JOIN someone else's Rally for FREE)
- Win the Rally → earn Rix Fragments + speedups + resources
- Collect 10 Rix Fragments → recruit Rix
- Win 10 Rallies you initiated → milestone bonus of 10 more Rix Fragments (one full extra recruit's worth)
- Push Rix to 5★ with surplus fragments → unlocks the Exchange to convert surplus event items

🎯 Why Rix Matters
Rix is an Epic Combat hero whose featured value-prop is reduced Energy cost and increased Deployment speed. He's a useful combat hero AND he comes with quality-of-life buffs that benefit your everyday play. More importantly, if you miss him during Wild West, he's gone until the event runs again — so every Wild West run is a recruitment opportunity you don't want to skip.
02. Schedule & Timing
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| First availability | Opens 3 days after a server launches |
| Event duration | 5 days per run |
| Server scope | All servers (no regional restrictions) |
| Re-runs | Yes — the event recurs periodically |
| Show-window before start | 1 day — you'll see the event in your activity center before it actually opens |
💡 Pre-Event Prep Window
When you see Wild West appear in the activity center the day before it opens, that's your prep cue. Bank Energy items, finish any pending healing/training so your troops are ready, and confirm you're in an alliance — rallying is alliance-gated, so if you're solo or in a dead alliance, fix that now.
03. Spurs & Criminal Kills
Spurs are the event-tracking currency. You spend 1 Spur to spawn a Sunset Killer near your PD. They only drop from Criminals on the world map during the event window.
Criminal Drop Table
Each Criminal killed during Wild West has TWO independent drops — each line rolls on its own without affecting the other:
| Drop | Chance per kill | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Spurs ×1 | 50% | Spend 1 Spur on the event page to spawn a Sunset Killer near your PD |
Leather Pouch ×1 | 50% | Open for a small bundle of base resources (Ammo, Cash, Electricity, Gas) |
Average per kill: 0.5 Spurs + 0.5 Leather Pouches. To get 10 Spurs (enough for the milestone task), expect to kill roughly 20 Criminals during the event — well within normal play.
📍 How to Use Spurs
Two ways to spend a Spur:
- From the event page: tap the "Rally" button (cost shown: 1 Spur)
- From your inventory: tap a Spur directly and use it
Either method spends 1 Spur and spawns a Sunset Killer somewhere on the map near your PD. Your camera jumps to the spawn location automatically.
"Not enough empty space near your PD" error: the game couldn't find a free tile within its placement radius. Clear out map objects (or move existing alliance facilities) and retry.
04. The Sunset Killer
The Sunset Killer is a world-map boss that exists only during the Wild West event. He's not a regular alliance boss — he's a special "mass monster" tied to whoever summoned him.

| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Recommended Power | ~8,100 (per the boss description; actual rally power with full alliance backing easily exceeds this) |
| Spawn location | Near your PD (server picks the exact tile) |
| Persistence | Stays on the map until killed — does NOT despawn on a timer. But other alliance members CAN attack a Sunset Killer you summoned, so it may not be there when you come back. |
| One at a time | You can only have ONE active Sunset Killer at a time. Once yours is defeated (by you OR another alliance member), you can spend another Spur to spawn the next. |
🎯 He Won't Time Out — But He Can Be Taken
A common worry about boss-summon events is "I summoned him and now I have to play immediately or lose him." Wild West is partly different: the Sunset Killer doesn't despawn on a timer — but he CAN be killed by other alliance members. If you summon and walk away for a few hours, an alliance member might rally him down on their own, leaving you with no boss to fight. While he's alive, you can't summon another — so if your alliance can't help right away and you don't want a teammate taking the kill, time your summons around when you can actually rally.
05. Rally Mechanics
Rallies are the core combat mechanic of Wild West. You can either initiate a rally (you spawned the boss) or join a rally an alliance member started.
Initiating vs Joining
⚡ Initiating
- ▸ Cost: 1 Spur (to spawn) + 25 Energy (to start the rally)
- ▸ You pick the muster timer and lead the rally
- ▸ Counts toward the 10-rally milestone task
- ▸ Win → guaranteed 2-4 Rix Fragments + 10-20 speedups + resources
🤝 Joining
- ▸ Cost: FREE (zero Energy)
- ▸ Cap: first 50 participation rewards per day (per-player, not server-wide)
- ▸ Does NOT count toward the milestone task
- ▸ Win → 50% chance of 1 Rix Fragment + 1-2 speedups + smaller resource bundle
⚠️ Alliance Required
You CANNOT participate in Wild West rallies without being in an alliance — not initiating, not joining. Sunset Killers are visible and attackable only by members of the alliance the summoner belongs to. If you're solo or your alliance is dead, you'll be limited to grinding Spurs you can't spend. Join an active alliance BEFORE the event window opens.
The 50/Day Participation Cap
The in-game rules say "Participants for the first 50 completed rallies daily will earn Participant Rewards." This sounds like a server-wide race — it isn't. The 50/day is per-player. Every player on every server gets their own pool of 50 paid participation rewards per day.
After your 50th win, you can still join rallies — you just won't get the Participant Rewards pool. Daily reset is server time 00:00.
Cost Summary
| Action | Spurs | Energy | Daily Cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spawn a Sunset Killer | 1 | 0 | none (gated by Spurs) |
| Initiate a Rally | 0 | 25 | none (gated by Energy/Spurs) |
| Join a Rally | 0 | 0 | 50 paid joins/day |
06. Rewards (Initiator vs Participant)
Every Sunset Killer rally pays out twice — once to the initiator, and once to each participant. The asymmetry is large: initiating is roughly 5-8× the fragments per win, but you pay Energy and a Spur to earn it.
🏆 Initiator Rewards (per win)
| Reward | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐ Rix Fragments | 2 / 3 / 4 (random, equal chance) | Guaranteed every win |
| 1-Min Universal Speedups | 10 or 20 (50/50) | Average ~15/win |
| 1K Hero EXP | ×5 | 5,000 hero EXP per win |
| Ammo | 150,000 | — |
| Cash | 150,000 | — |
| Electricity | 30,000 | — |
| Gas | 7,500 | — |
🤝 Participant Rewards (per win, first 50/day)
| Reward | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐ Rix Fragment | ×1 (50% chance) | Independent roll — average 0.5 fragments per join |
| 1-Min Universal Speedups | 1 or 2 (50/50) | Average ~1.5/win |
| 1K Hero EXP | ×1 | 1,000 hero EXP per win |
| Ammo | 15,000 | 10% of initiator amount |
| Cash | 15,000 | 10% of initiator amount |
| Electricity | 3,000 | 10% of initiator amount |
| Gas | 750 | 10% of initiator amount |
🎖️ Milestone Task: Initiate 10 Rallies
The activity page has a single milestone task: "Initiate 10 Event Rallies". Each Sunset Killer rally you summon AND win counts. Once you hit 10, you can claim a one-time bonus reward:
- ▸ 10 Rix Fragments — equivalent to one full Rix recruit
This is huge. Combined with the 2-4 fragments per initiated win, completing 10 initiated rallies yields 30-50 fragments total — enough to recruit Rix AND start his star-ups in a single event run.
⚠️ Joining Doesn't Count
The milestone tracks rallies you initiated and won — joining someone else's rally does NOT count, even though you still earn participation rewards. Don't skip initiating because joining is free; you'll miss the milestone and the 10-fragment bonus.
07. Recruiting Rix

Rix is an Epic Combat hero, exclusive to Wild West runs. He is NOT in the Epic or Legendary Recruitment gacha. The only way to obtain him (and star him up) is to win Sunset Killer rallies for Rix Fragments.
Fragment Economy
| Milestone | Fragments Required | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Recruit Rix | 10 | Rix joins your PD at Star 1 |
| Star up (each) | varies by star tier | See the Hero Guide for full ascension cost table |
| Reach 5★ (max) | ~325 total | Unlocks the Exchange + max combat stats |
Reaching 5★ on Rix in a single event run is hard — possible for whales, slow for everyone else. Plan to recruit him on the first available run, then push stars on every subsequent run.
Estimated Single-Run Fragment Yield
| Source | Per Action | Realistic Total (5-day run) |
|---|---|---|
| Initiated wins (10 needed for milestone) | 2-4 frags (avg 3) | ~30 frags |
| Milestone bonus (10 initiated wins) | 10 frags | 10 frags |
| Participation wins (full 50/day × 5 days) | 0.5 frag avg | ~125 frags (if you max joins) |
| Total possible | — | ~165 frags |
That's enough for one recruit (10 frags) plus the start of star-up progression. Mostly capped by your alliance's rally cadence — if your alliance only fields 30 rallies/day, you won't hit the 50 participation cap. Active alliances matter.
08. The Exchange (Rix 5★ Gate)
Once Rix is at 5★ (max stars), an Exchange button on the event page unlocks. The Exchange lets you trade surplus spurs for leather pouches at a 1:1 ratio.
| Status | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Rix < 5★ | Button shows the tip "Exchange when Rix reaches max Stars" — nothing redeems |
| Rix = 5★ (max) | Exchange opens; surplus spurs can be redeemed for leather pouches (1 Spur = 1 Pouch) |
09. Strategy & Optimal Play
The optimal Wild West run is built around three priorities: (1) hit the 10-initiated-rally milestone for the bonus 10 fragments, (2) max out daily participation rewards, and (3) coordinate with your alliance to feed each other rally targets.
Phase 1: Pre-Event Prep
- ▸ Confirm you're in an active alliance — if not, fix it BEFORE the event opens
- ▸ Stockpile Energy items (you'll need 250 Energy minimum for 10 self-initiated rallies)
- ▸ Finish any pending healing so all troops are march-ready when the event opens
- ▸ Coordinate with alliance leadership: agree on rally muster times, who rallies what, etc.
Phase 2: Days 1-3 (Spur Farming + Milestone Push)
- ★Hunt Criminals aggressively. Every kill is a 50% chance at a Spur. You need ~20 kills to bank 10 Spurs for the milestone.
- ★Initiate your first rally ASAP. First win unlocks the momentum.
- ★ Help alliance members hit their milestones — reciprocity matters in a 5-day window.
Phase 3: Every Day (Max the 50 Joins)
The 50 paid joins per day are FREE Rix Fragments and resources. Joining costs zero Energy — just your time to tap "Join" on alliance rallies. Over 5 days, 50/day × 5 = up to 250 joins × 50% fragment chance = ~125 free fragments.
Practical tip: check the alliance map periodically for active rallies. Mobile notifications for alliance rallies help. If your alliance isn't pushing 10+ rallies/day, you'll cap below 50 — talk to leadership about coordinating "rally pushes" where everyone summons during a window.
Phase 4: Final Day (Spend Down Spurs)
On day 5, burn any remaining Spurs. Spurs don't expire when the event ends — they stay in your inventory and remain usable later — but you can only COLLECT new Spurs during a Wild West run. For the basic strategy, spending them on day 5 is the simplest play.
If you're nearing Rix 5★, push hard on the final day to unlock the Exchange before the window closes. If you're an active player in a busy alliance and want to squeeze more fragments per cycle, see the Advanced Strategy below — it deliberately hoards Spurs for post-event spending.

⚠️ Common Mistakes
- ▸ Joining instead of initiating. Joining is free but doesn't count toward the milestone. You MUST initiate 10 rallies to claim the 10-fragment bonus.
- ▸ Summoning then going AFK. Sunset Killer persists until killed, but other alliance members CAN attack a Sunset Killer you summoned. If you summon and walk away, a teammate might take the kill before you can. While he's alive, you can't summon another — so time your summons around when you can rally.
- ▸ Skipping daily joins. 50 free participation rewards a day is huge. Even if you're tired of the event by day 4, log in and join 5 rallies — that's ~2.5 free fragments.
- ▸ Not spending Spurs. Spurs persist in your inventory after the event ends, but you can only EARN new ones during a run. Every unspent Spur at event-end is a Rally's worth of rewards you skipped.
TL;DR — The Quick Hits
- 1. Wild West is a recurring 5-day event. Opens 3 days after a server launches; re-runs periodically.
- 2. Rix is the prize — an Epic Combat hero only obtainable from this event. Not in any gacha.
- 3. Kill Criminals → 50% chance to drop Spurs. Use 1 Spur to spawn a Sunset Killer near your PD.
- 4. Initiate a Rally on the Sunset Killer: 1 Spur + 25 Energy. Win → 2-4 Rix Fragments + 10-20 speedups + resources.
- 5. JOIN someone else's Rally: FREE (zero Energy). 50% chance of 1 Rix Fragment + small rewards. Capped at 50 paid joins per day per player.
- 6. Milestone: Initiate 10 Rallies → bonus 10 Rix Fragments. This is one full recruit's worth on top of your earned fragments — PRIORITIZE THIS.
- 7. Recruit cost: 10 Rix Fragments. 10 initiated wins + milestone = ~30-50 fragments = recruit + start star-ups in one run.
- 8. Sunset Killer stays on the map until killed — he doesn't despawn on a timer.
- 9. Alliance required — Sunset Killers are visible/attackable only by the summoner's alliance. Solo players are locked out.
- 10. Push Rix to 5★ to unlock the Exchange (surplus spurs → leather pouches).
- 11. Spurs don't expire when the event ends — they stay in your inventory. But you can only EARN new ones during a Wild West run, so spend what you've got before the window closes.
- 12. Joining is free fragments; do it daily up to the 50 cap. But it doesn't count toward the milestone — you still need 10 self-initiated wins.
