Precinct Powerplay

(v1.0 β€” last updated 7/1/26)

← Back to Index

A weekly 6-alliance, 3-lane, round-robin capture-the-flag tournament with a 16-rung league ladder. Squads deployed here never die or get injured β€” so there's no reason not to sign up. The strategy is all in lane assignment, Power distribution, and climbing the ladder. Here's how it works.

01. What It Is

Precinct Powerplay event splash screen

Precinct Powerplay is an alliance-vs-alliance event. Matchmaking drops your alliance into a group of 6 alliances of similar tier, and you play a round-robin β€” 5 rounds, one against each of the other five. Every match is fought across 3 lanes (Left, Middle, Right); win a lane and you capture its flag; most flags wins the match.

Battles resolve automatically β€” you deploy squads ahead of time and watch the replay. No live commanding. Your job is entirely in the setup: who's registered, which lane each squad sits in, and how your alliance's Power is spread across the three lanes.

βœ“ There Is No Risk to Signing Up

Squads deployed in Precinct Powerplay are never killed or injured, and they don't use your Squad Queues. Your troops are untouched no matter how the fights go. Every registered member also gets a reward just for signing up, even if their squad never fights. So the correct default for every eligible member is simple: always register.

02. Schedule & Eligibility

The event runs weekly, starting at reset on Monday (00:00 UTC), and the full cycle is exactly 7 days. It moves through five phases:

PhaseLengthWhat happens
Sign-Up~47 hrsRegister, pick a lane, place a squad
Matching~1 hrServer buckets 6 alliances into your group
Prepare + Battle Γ—5~12 hrs each5 round-robin rounds (11 hr prep, then a 1 hr battle)
Show~60 hrsResults, rewards, replays

⭐ To Field a Team You Need

  • β–ΈTo be in an alliance.
  • β–ΈChief's Office level 10 (per-member entry gate).
  • β–ΈAt least 10 alliance members registered. Fewer than 10 and the whole alliance fails to match β€” nobody plays. This is the one that bites small or inactive alliances.

Your alliance also can't disband mid-event. And once matching is done, a member who withdraws forfeits all rewards (their squad keeps fighting).

03. Sign-Up, Lanes & the Top-20 Cap

During Sign-Up, each member registers, picks one of the three lanes, and places a squad. You set your own lane freely at this stage.

🎯 Only the Top 20 by Power Fight in Each Lane

A lane can hold any number of signed squads, but only the 20 highest-Power squads in that lane actually battle each round. If you're the 21st-strongest squad in your lane, you're a spectator that round β€” and, importantly, only Chiefs on that top-20 list earn KO rewards. So piling every strong player into one lane can bench your own #21+ and cost them their battle rewards. Spread your heavy hitters, or make sure your lane depth doesn't push good squads off the list.

Registered members who don't make a top-20 list still get the flat registration reward β€” they just don't get the per-battle KO rewards. Signing up is always worth it; where you sit determines whether you fight.

04. How the Lane Battles Work

Each lane is a winner-stays queue fight. The two alliances' squads in that lane line up (highest Power first) and fight one-on-one:

05. Points, Rounds & Tiebreakers

Each of the 5 rounds is one match against one enemy alliance, scored by flags, not kills:

Match resultPowerplay Points
More flags (win)3
Equal flags (tie)1 each
Fewer flags (loss)0

Winning 2 of the 3 lanes wins the match β€” you don't need to sweep all three. Points accumulate across the 5 rounds into your group ranking (1st–6th), which is what actually determines your rewards and ladder movement.

πŸ’‘ The Tiebreaker Order

If two alliances finish level on points, rank is broken by total flags captured, then by total enemy squads defeated (KOs). So even in a match you've already lost, capturing one more lane or racking up extra KOs still matters β€” those totals can decide your final group placement, and placement is everything.

06. Lane Strategy

Two facts define all lane strategy: you win a match with 2 of 3 lanes, and each lane only counts its top 20 squads by Power. That means concentrating strength beats spreading it thin β€” but only up to the 20-squad cap per lane.

⭐ Who Can Move Squads, and When

During Sign-Up, each member sets their own lane. After matching, only the Leader (R5) and R4 officers can rearrange lanes β€” and only during the 11-hour Preparation phase before each round.

⚑ The "Stack a Lane During Rregistration" Question

A known tactic in games of this type is deliberately stacking one lane at sign-up to try to influence matchmaking or guarantee two lanes. The levers exist here β€” you control your own lane, the top-20 cap rewards concentration, and leadership can rotate lanes each round. Whether stacking actually softens your matchmaking is decided behind the scenes and isn't confirmed, so treat it as a plausible experiment, not a guaranteed exploit.

07. Leagues, Stars & Promotion

There's a 16-rung ladder across 6 leagues: Iron β†’ Bronze (I–II) β†’ Silver (I–III) β†’ Gold (I–IV) β†’ Diamond (I–V) β†’ Master. Each rung holds 5 stars: fill the bar to promote up a rung, empty it to relegate down. Your final group rank (1st–6th) each cycle sets your star change.

Bronze league statueBronze
Silver league statueSilver
Gold league statueGold
Diamond league statueDiamond
Master league statueMaster

The twist: the same placement is worth different stars depending on your league. Climbing is front-loaded β€” easy in the low leagues, brutal at the top.

08. Rewards

Three separate reward streams stack in a single cycle:

League Rewards (by placement)

Mailed after the cycle, scaling with your league and your group rank (1st best β†’ 6th worst). Higher league = bigger payout; the main currency is the Precinct Powerplay Badge (spend it in the event shop). Sample per-member payout (speedups / resource chests / badges):

LeagueRank 1Rank 6
Iron~9,500 badges~3,800 badges
Silver~14,300 badges~5,700 badges
Diamond~20,200 badges~8,100 badges
Master~23,800 badges + cosmetics~9,500 badges + cosmetics

Master is the only league with exclusive cosmetics. Every Master placement (all six ranks) also grants four 14-day Sentinel cosmetics β€” nameplate, avatar frame, and two skins. They're the visible "I made Master" flex and the only league-locked drops in the event.

KO Rewards (per round, per player)

Registration Reward (everyone)

Every registered member gets paid just for signing up, even if their squad never fights. The only way to get nothing is to withdraw after matching. Register, always.

09. Common Mistakes

  • β–ΈNot signing up "to protect your troops." Squads here never die or use queues β€” sitting out only forfeits free rewards.
  • β–ΈFielding fewer than 10 members. Under 10 registered and the entire alliance fails to match. Chase registrations before the deadline.
  • β–ΈOver-stacking one lane. Only the top 20 by Power fight and earn KO rewards β€” pile too many strong squads in one lane and you bench your own #21+.
  • β–ΈChasing kills instead of flags. Matches are won by flags (2 of 3 lanes), not total KOs. KOs are only a tiebreaker.
  • β–ΈCoasting in Master. 4th–6th in Master all lose stars. If you can't hold, expect to relegate.
  • β–ΈWithdrawing after matching. Your squad still fights, but you get zero rewards. Just leave it in.

TL;DR β€” The Quick Hits

  1. 1. Weekly (Monday), 7-day cycle: ~47h sign-up, then 5 round-robin rounds vs 5 alliances, then results.
  2. 2. Zero risk β€” always sign up. Squads never die or injure, don't use queues, and every registrant gets a reward.
  3. 3. Need an alliance, Chief's Office 10, and 10+ members registered or the alliance can't match.
  4. 4. 3 lanes; only the top 20 by Power per lane fight (and only they earn KO rewards). Don't over-stack.
  5. 5. Lane fights are winner-stays with attrition; a squad fights max 2 times ("Combo!"). Depth beats one monster squad.
  6. 6. Win 2 of 3 lanes to win the match. Win = 3 pts, tie = 1, loss = 0.
  7. 7. Tiebreak: points β†’ total flags β†’ total KOs. Grab extra flags/KOs even in losses.
  8. 8. Set your own lane at Sign-Up; after matching R4+ can swap squads around to optimize their strategy.
  9. 9. 16-rung ladder (Ironβ†’Master), 5 stars per rung. Group rank sets star change. Iron/Bronze can't drop; Master 4th–6th all lose.
  10. 10. Rewards scale by league Γ— placement; Master alone grants exclusive 14-day cosmetics.
  11. 11. Never withdraw after matching β€” your squad fights anyway but you forfeit all rewards.
